The special treat was a stunning pair of Blue Rock Thrushes. These are lifers for me and bring my Qatar total to 139 species. I found the pair hopping back and forwards in a rocky outcrop, hawking insects. The female was quite confiding and approached close to the vehicle, but the male only briefly popped out into the open. Fortunately it allowed me to capture an image before he hid from view again.
