The Lionesses took down an adult female Giraffe, which was an impressive kill. The then spent several days feeding on the carcass which allowed for some lovely photographic oppurtuniies. The cubs were also enjoying the occasion as apart from the feeding it also served as a Jungle Gym and they enjoyed jumping on and off it between feeding bouts. Eventually the male coalition arrived and took over at the kill . They then spent a couple of days feeding on the remains until they too had gorged. It was then left to the Vultures to clean up the site The lionesses busy feeding, with the smaller cheeky lioness in the foreground The cubs are learning the ropes, with the female cub on the right and the slightly larger male on the left The female cub in the drivers seat I am the King of the Castle The male cub on the right being hounded by his sister Resting up with a rather full tummy The cubs play while the Adults are busy feeding Portrait of the Mum I think my teeth are almost as big as yours The males arrive and take over the kill

Our well known resident female Leopard has recently given birth to three cubs. I was fortunate enough to have a sighting of her and one of the cubs on the remnants of an Impala kill the other evening She was picked up in the late afternoon having returned to finish of the Impala she had taken down earlier Close-up shot She was comfortable with us sitting with her until the sun went down and we then had to use spotlights to assist us with our visuals And on into the night After dark the bravest of the three cubs came forward and also started to feed. Here she growls at her Mum as she gets too close for comfort
